Educators from historically underrepresented groups face significant challenges in navigating the career pathways to working in our schools as certified, licensed, and administrator-level roles. These challenges contribute to high turnover rates among these underrepresented educators and compound our existing educator shortage, which has a negative impact on all students.

Multnomah Grow Your Own is a partnership of school districts, higher education institutions, and community-based organizations dedicated to increasing the number of historically underrepresented educators in MESD school districts.
