DEIB Community of Practice

Problem of Practice

Leaders and change makers need a way to lean on and learn from their colleagues because DEIB work is mentally and systematically filled with challenges. When we lean on a trusted community of practice, our collective efforts can move the work forward across the region to meet the needs of all students and educators and bring awareness and solutions to the systemic, institutional and ideological forms of oppression holding the problem in place.

Leaders across the region are feeling siloed and creating this community of practice addresses this problem by providing a role-like group and community of practice. It provides an opportunity to discuss problems of practice and continually grow skills through collaborating and learning with and from peers.

Overview

This community of practice brings Equity Leaders and Change Makers together to lean on and learn from each other. We’ll connect through to build a collaborative community of support that will provide members with the skills, collective problem solving, and strength to move their district towards more equitable outcomes.
