2025-27 Project Proposals
MCREN is now accepting project proposals for the 2025-27 biennium!
Have an Idea? Let’s Connect!
In an effort to improve educator well being throughout Multnomah and Clackamas Counties, MCREN listens to educators to understand the challenges of teaching and what could make it better. Our support model includes coaching, professional development, networked improvement, and funding. MCREN involves those closest to the work in order to create regional change.
A project is a concept or change idea meant to enhance the educator experience. Projects are expected to be informed by those closest to the work and can start small with the potential to scale up to improve larger systems across the region.
We encourage submission of all projects that are aligned to our regional priorities. Based on current organizational goals and outcomes in our region, our priority for allocation of resources are those projects in which the experience of novice educators, educators of color and paraprofessionals/educational assistants are positively impacted.
First round proposal submissions are due March 7, 2025.
Based on funding availability, next round of submissions will be due May 7, 2025.
How to Submit a Project Proposal:

Define the Issue You Want to Solve
- How can the system better serve educators?
- Review our Regional Priorities to see what’s eligible for consideration.

Identify a Team
- Who needs to be involved?
- What educators are closest to the work?

Submit Your Proposal
Project Proposal Review Process:
- Project Proposal Form is completed.
- A member of the MCREN team will contact you to confirm receipt of your submission.
- The MCREN team will conduct an initial review of the project proposal.
- After the initial review, MCREN will provide feedback and/or coaching as needed to assist your team with developing a Project Plan to include key outcomes, a metric and data measurement plan, and a project budget.
- Your Project Plan will then be reviewed by the Coordinating Body using these considerations. Once the final review process has been conducted, a MCREN team member will follow up with you to share the decision outcome and rationale; additional feedback; and next steps.
