Small School Equity Action Group Design Day
March 18th from 4 PM – 5 PM
Educators are invited to participate in a District Design Day for Equity for schools. Design Day Participants are coming together to design a change idea working to identify and understand their racial selves to prepare for anti-racist work to counter racism in themselves and the environment.
Facilitated by the Northwest Regional Educator Network and Multnomah/Clackamas Regional Educator Networks.
What will we be doing?
During our time together, the Design Team Participants will reflect on their lived experience as educators to help inform the professional development work and co-construct the first version of the pilot to learn if creating action groups designed specifically to support the development of anti-racist mindsets create an environment where positive relationships with colleagues, administrators and district leadership can create the conditions that enable growth/change.
Who should participate?
We are looking for 16 school-level representatives that can be educators, administrators, or other school personnel to participate in two – one hour sessions from Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Multnomah, Tillamook, and Washington counties.
Compensation?
You will be compensated for your time and substitute costs will be covered.
Can I receive PDUs and/or graduate credits for participating?
Yes! We will work with you to determine what this might look like.
