Other than as required by laws that guarantee public access to certain types of information, or in response to subpoenas or other legal instruments that authorize access, personal information is not actively redistributed or sold.

By accessing the MCREN website, you accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, and you consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. In addition, by using our website, and/or links and information across partnered and unaffiliated sites, you are accepting the policies and practices described in this Privacy Policy. Each time you visit our website, and any time you voluntarily provide us with information, you agree that you are consenting to our collection, use and disclosure of the information that you provide, and you are consenting to receive emails or otherwise be contacted, as described in this Privacy Policy.

Non-Personal Information

MCREN collects “Non-Personal Information” about our users to help us improve our website and customize the user experience. We also aggregate Non-Personal Information in order to track trends and analyze use patterns of the website. This Privacy Policy does not limit in any way our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information and we reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our partners and other third parties at our sole discretion.  In addition, we may also track information provided to us by your browser or by our mobile application when you view or use the MCREN website, such as the website you came from (known as the “referring URL”), the type of browser you use, the device from which you connected to the MCREN website, the time and date of access, and other information that does not personally identify you.  We use this information for, among other things, the operation of the MCREN website, to maintain the quality of the MCREN website, to provide general statistics regarding use, and for other business purposes.

The MCREN reserves the right to use “cookies” on its websites. A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser that allows the website to “remember” your preferences such as calendar settings and site bookmarks on the site from visit to visit, or to maintain your “logged in” status when visiting protected areas.

Web browsers have settings allowing you to reject cookies, or selectively accept cookies, or delete cookies previously accepted. Please be aware that rejecting or deleting cookies from our website may make certain functions unavailable to you.

Information gathered is obtained for the purpose of improving our website services.

MCREN measures how our web users interact with our district and school websites with Google Analytics. We use this tool to help us better understand how our users navigate our sites and how we can improve our services to meet our users’ needs. You can read more about Google Analytics on the Google Developers’ cookie usage webpage.

We use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our website.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our website. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

Personal Information

Certain visitors to MCREN’s website choose to interact with MCREN in ways that require MCREN  to gather personally-identifying information. “Personal Information” includes information that can be used to personally identify you, such as your name, address and email address.  The amount and type of information that MCREN  gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who elect to sign up for our newsletter or who wish to contact us, to provide their name, title, school district, and an email address. MCREN collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with MCREN.  MCREN does not re-distribute or sell personal information collected on our web servers.

Protection of Certain Personal Information

MCREN discloses personal information only to those of its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that need to know that information in order to process it on MCREN’s behalf.  By using MCREN’s website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. MCREN will not rent or sell personal information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations, as described above, MCREN discloses personal information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when MCREN believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of MCREN, third parties, or the public at large. If you have supplied your name, telephone number, mailing address, and/or email address on the MCREN website, your information will be kept indefinitely unless you request to have it removed from the MCREN contact lists.  By supplying this information, MCREN may occasionally send you information about our latest news, important legislative updates, job openings, or ways that you can help MCREN move forward with our important work for educators in our region. If you send us a request (for example via email, through social media, or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. MCREN takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of personal information.

Data Collection

MCREN and it’s associates will be collecting data that will be housed in a private MCREN “Members Only” portal that will be accessible only with an assigned username and password.  Members will be able to upload and access data within the portal.  MCREN will own the data that is collected for the implementation of our work, and it will not be sold or shared amongst other organizations.
